Dacia Spring represents an affordable entry into the world of electromobility, which will impress not only with its favorable price, but also with its practical urban character and ecological operation. This compact electric car has gained considerable popularity in recent years, especially in Europe, where it has achieved significant sales success. The modernization of the model for 2025 has brought fundamental improvements in equipment, design and driving characteristics, all while maintaining an affordable price level. With a price starting at under 420 thousand crowns, Dacia Spring is the cheapest full-fledged electric car on the Czech market.
The significantly redesigned exterior reflects the brand’s current design language, which gives the car more personality and a robust crossover touch. The interior spaces have also been significantly improved – higher-quality materials, new multimedia equipment and a more comfortable layout make driving a pleasant experience. The cars are powered by an economical electric motor with a battery capacity of approximately 26.8 kWh, which is enough for a real range of around 220 to 230 kilometers, ideal for everyday urban traffic.
The modernized Spring also offers new features such as bidirectional charging (V2L), which allows the car to power external appliances, and various safety systems that meet current European standards. Offering configuration options and several equipment levels allows you to choose a car exactly according to the customer’s needs while maintaining a favorable price. Customers will also be pleased with the availability of operational leasing and the possibility of drawing on state or local subsidies.
One of the most significant changes that Dacia Spring 2025 brings is its completely redesigned design. The original body gave way to a new look that draws inspiration from the style of the brand’s larger models, such as the Duster or Bigster. This crossover look is much more mature and attractive, while not losing its practicality for urban environments.
Exterior with robust bumpers and expressive lines, it is complemented by fresh pastel colors that will especially appeal to younger drivers and those who appreciate an original appearance. Thanks to the higher ground clearance (over 15 cm), the car can easily overcome common city obstacles such as curbs or tram tracks. Interior underwent a fundamental change that improved the quality of materials and the overall impression of the car. The ergonomics and design of the dashboard have been improved, which now includes a fully digital 7-inch instrument panel and a large 10-inch touchscreen infotainment with support for modern functions such as online services and wireless phone connectivity. Practical YouClip accessories have also been added to the car, which allow the attachment of various holders and organizers, which significantly increases user comfort.
The steering wheel gained the possibility of height adjustment, which significantly improved the driver’s position. The modernized model has not changed the basic electric drive technology, which is simple but effective. Using a battery with a capacity of 26.8 kWh (usable capacity of about 25 kWh), the vehicle can cover a range of approximately 225 to 230 kilometers on a single charge, according to official and real-world tests.
Real-world use in an urban environment shows that with an average daily range of about 37 kilometers, car owners usually charge about once a week, which is very convenient for ordinary urban users. Thanks to the effective consumption of approximately 13.1 kWh per 100 km, the Spring is one of the most economical electric cars that help significantly reduce fuel costs while minimizing the ecological footprint.
Charging can be implemented in various ways depending on the available infrastructure. The on-board charger allows charging with a power of up to 11 kW from a regular household socket or wallbox, which allows for quick and convenient overnight charging. For public fast charging, DC charging power support of up to 30 kW is available, which significantly speeds up the charging process on the go. This combination makes the Dacia Spring a practical electric car for both everyday city driving and occasional longer trips.
In addition to standard charging, the car also has the V2L (vehicle-to-load) function, which allows the battery to be used as an external energy source. This innovation significantly expands the possibilities of using the car – for example, to power electric grills, tools or e-bikes. This increases the attractiveness of the Spring not only as a car, but also as a practical assistant for leisure and household activities.
The modernized Dacia Spring boasts a wide range of technological improvements that make driving safer, more enjoyable and more comfortable. Both basic and higher trim levels bring a number of features that were previously only available in more expensive car categories.
Safety systems represent a significant step forward. The new GSR2 standards ensure the presence of lane departure warning, a traffic sign reading system with speeding warning and driver fatigue detection. These systems significantly help prevent accidents, and their operation can be easily deactivated according to the driver’s needs.
Comfort equipment includes wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 10-inch infotainment touchscreen, remote central locking, electric windows and, now, air conditioning in mid-range and higher trim levels. Dacia also offers new YouClip smart holders that allow the driver and passengers to adapt the storage spaces to different needs, which is especially interesting in a small city car.
Practicality is complemented by a 308-liter luggage compartment and a newly added 35-liter “frunk” in front of the hood, which can be purchased as an accessory. This bonus is very useful for storing charging cables and other small items that you need to have at hand.
Dacia Spring remains one of the most attractive electric cars in terms of price/performance on the Czech market. Its basic Essential version, which offers a 33 kW (45 hp) engine, starts at around 420 thousand crowns. This version is ideal for customers looking for a completely basic but full-fledged electric car for the city without many extras.
The more powerful version with an output of 48 kW (65 hp) in the Expression configuration will cost approximately 470 thousand crowns and, in addition to performance, also adds comfort features such as air conditioning, a rain sensor or a wider range of exterior colors. The highest level of equipment, Extreme, which brings other features including navigation, a parking camera, suede upholstery or the V2L function, will not exceed 495 thousand crowns. The price thus remains very competitive not only against other electric cars, but often against cheap cars with a combustion engine.
Availability is also supported by the possibility of using state subsidies and discounts, which in some cases can reduce the price significantly below the original selling price. The Czech Embassy is also preparing its own subsidy program to further support electromobility in our market. An alternative is operational leasing, which will allow you to acquire a Dacia Spring from a price level of under seven thousand crowns per month. This is a significant step towards the democratization of electromobility for the wider public.
Customers are offered a three-year warranty on the vehicle and an eight-year warranty on the traction battery, providing sufficient security and comfort for the future. Service packages can be purchased and extended, which further optimizes the costs of operating the electric vehicle.
